Baking soda, or soda kue, has long been known to have many benefits, including in the world of skincare. Besides being frequently used to naturally whiten teeth, baking soda can also be a powerful tool to combat acne. Baking soda has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce redness and swelling caused by acne.

Mix baking soda and water in equal proportions to make a paste, for example, two tablespoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of water. Apply this paste directly to the acne and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse with water and use moisturizer afterwards to prevent dry skin.

If mixed with water, use a one-to-one ratio as mentioned above to make the paste. You can also add one or two teaspoons of organic coconut oil if you want the mixture to be more moisturizing. After wetting the face with water, gently massage the paste onto the skin in circular motions.
