Usually, cream or liquid blush textures are more popular because they are easy to blend and give a natural result. The application can also be blended with powder if it's too thick.

Powder blush textures themselves are more commonly used to make the cheeks blush last longer, but their application is more difficult to control compared to cream blush.

Use Powder

Apply face makeup base, eye makeup, and contour. Prepare loose powder commonly used for baking technique and powder blush. Apply the powder under the eyes using a makeup sponge.

Take a sufficient amount of powder blush using a brush and blend it around the cheeks while smoothing the previously applied powder.

Control Blush Color with the Right Powder Application Technique

Dream - Using colored makeup products should be done with extra caution. Otherwise, your makeup will look excessive and less natural.

Making natural makeup is not as easy as it seems. The same goes for applying products to avoid excess.

It doesn't mean you can't fix it and have to remove all the makeup. Fixing excessive product application is quite easy to do. Here are tips to conceal blush color that is too contrasting from Makeup Artist (MUA) @bypoetry.mua.

Prepare compact powder with high pigmentation to conceal blush color without using too many products and making the makeup look cakey or easily ruined.

After that, take the product using a puff. Make sure not to press the puff too hard on the surface of the powder to control the amount of product taken.

Use powder little by little to control the color and the amount of product used. Then, apply it in the middle to the outer edge of the cheekbone.

Do not press the puff when applying the product to keep the result natural. However, if the blush color is very contrasting and prominent, you can press the puff a little to make it easier to blend the color.
