Remove Stains Without Damaging Makeup, Do This

Dream - Applying makeup is not as easy as it seems in beauty content. Sometimes, the makeup products used can stain other areas of the face.

This can disrupt the neatly applied makeup. Many people are forced to redo their entire makeup because of small stains on the face.

However, makeup doesn't need to be completely removed to get rid of those stains. Sherly, Beauty Content Creator and owner of the Instagram account @sherlyxu, also does not recommend using micellar water to remove makeup stains because it can damage the makeup.

Your makeup will have a harder time adhering to the areas that have been cleaned with micellar water. Follow Sherly's shared method below to remove makeup stains without damaging the makeup.

Do Before Applying Powder

If your face has makeup stains before applying powder, use hydrating toner or moisturizer to remove the stains. Use a cotton bud to gently remove the stains. Wait for the toner or moisturizer to dry and reapply the previously used makeup.

If After Applying Powder

Makeup stains like mascara that get on the face after applying powder should be allowed to dry. Rub the stained area with a spoolie until the stains are lifted and reapply the powder to make your makeup look neater.
