This was experienced by the owner of the TikTok account @srintil0000. She shared her experience of doing makeup with a senior MUA.

Initially, the account owner woke up at 2 a.m. to do makeup for a client together with a senior MUA who only paid Rp40 thousand. However, when she wanted to meet the client, the MUA had an experience that made her lose confidence and traumatized.

The client refused to be made up by her because she was disgusted by the way the account owner stored her makeup tools. "When I arrived, it made me insecure and traumatized. The client didn't want makeup and even gave me a disgusted look because I used my makeshift tools and put them in a plastic box," the MUA said in the video description.

Willingly or not, the MUA left the client's place while holding back tears. "Finally, I just stayed silent and held back tears until I got on the motorcycle. Tired of crying on the motorcycle, seeing my ugly face when crying and hoping to be able to laugh but instead feeling even more upset."
