Use cream-textured base makeup first. Start with primer, foundation, concealer, color corrector, blush, and contour under the cheeks. Blend using fingers, brush, or sponge until even and make sure all products are absorbed perfectly.
Do the Vertical Contour technique
Do the vertical contour technique using an easy-to-blend cream contour. If you want it to last longer and blend more easily, use a liquid-textured contour. Apply the contour on the lower cheek and focus its application on the outer areas of the face.
Flatten the applied contour using a brush or finger for easier application. Make sure the brush used has the right size and shape for a neater makeup result.
Avoid applying powder contour after using powder so that your makeup looks more natural, unless you are applying reverse contouring technique where contour is used before foundation.
Make sure the contour color applied is not too dark. Applying contour under the cheek with a color much darker than your skin tone will make it look less natural.
Use contour colors that are 2 shades darker than your natural skin tone. Don't forget to match the undertone of the contour color with your skin for a more polished look. If you want a more natural contour application, you can use a liquid foundation that is 2 shades darker than your skin. The liquid foundation's texture will make your makeup last longer and look more natural, especially if you set it with setting powder.
