Dream - Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the BINUS-ASO School of Engineering (BINUS-ASO) organized a decade of BINUS-ASO themed 'A Decade in Shaping Future Engineering Leaders' at the BINUS @Alam Sutera campus, Tangerang, on June 28-29, 2024, yesterday.

"Established since 2014, BINUS-ASO School of Engineering is the result of collaboration between BINUS UNIVERSITY (Indonesia) and ASO College Group (Japan). The decade-long event titled 'A Decade in Shaping Future Engineering Leaders' provides an opportunity for BINUS-ASO students to showcase their work from the three programs, namely Business Engineering, Automotive Robotics Engineering, and Product Design Engineering."

With the event held, Fergyanto hopes that the students can build a solid and strong network to support their future careers.

It is known that BINUS-ASO has achieved many accomplishments that demonstrate its commitment to producing quality graduates in the field of engineering.

One of the things that caught public attention is the work of William and Natasha Angeline Hansen. The combination of the Automotive and Robotics Engineering and Product Design Engineering programs created the Nephroair device. Nephroair itself is a kidney function detector. Previously, kidney failure was checked through urine or blood, but now Nephroair can help check kidney function by analyzing breath.

Technically, Nephoair's work only takes 30 seconds and the data processing process can take up to one hour.

"Difficulty in creating this tool, first we have to research about kidney failure disease and also medical knowledge. For the design of the product itself, the difficulty is that I have to consult frequently with my partner, William," said Natasha, one of the Product Design Engineering students at Binus-ASO. "I can't just design randomly because it has to be in accordance with the basic technical function," she added.

BINUS-ASO wants to demonstrate its commitment to consistently prepare Human Resources (HR) that can meet industry needs. The industry plays an important role in supporting universities by acting as an 'advisor' so that the university can adjust its curriculum to make its graduates more prepared for work.
