The match is filled with prestige and a mission of revenge for Jakarta Pertamina Enduro who wants to redeem their defeat in last year's final. Both teams are still strengthened by their respective skilled coaches, Eko Waluyo for Jakarta Pertamina and Alim Suseno for Bandung BJB. Despite experiencing squad overhaul, Jakarta Pertamina Enduro is still reinforced by top players. They have lost Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi who moved to Jakarta BIN, but the team has acquired a new ammunition in Giovanna Milana, Megawati's teammate from Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks in the Korean Volleyball League last season.

The debut appearance of Gia, known affectionately as Milana, in Indonesia is highly anticipated. On this action-packed first day, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi will also perform with her new club, Jakarta BIN. They will face off against the debutant team, Jakarta Livin Mandiri.
