The event, which will be held for two days, namely Friday and Saturday, March 22-23, 2024, will take place at The Hall Lt.8, Senayan City, South Jakarta, from 15.30 to 21.00 WIB. Carrying the theme "Nusantara," DORA 2024 aims to collect 200 blood bags per day to support Thalassemia survivors and those in need of blood transfusions due to the depletion of blood stocks during the month of Ramadan.

According to the fatwa of MUI, blood donation does not cancel or reduce the perfection and rewards of fasting in Ramadan. In the fatwa, it is explained that blood donation is a righteous deed that has great rewards because it helps others. One bag of donated blood can benefit three people in need of blood.

Thalassemia Movement is an independent community, consisting of observers and Thalassemia survivors, aiming to improve the quality of life for Thalassemia survivors and also advocate the #StopThalassemia campaign to the wider community.

However, this time, the opportunity to give and receive assistance feels more meaningful because it is collaborating with Thalassemia survivors, who not only become beneficiaries but also play an active role in organizing this event. Through this close collaboration, YPP and Senayan City provide tangible evidence of their commitment to providing support to those in need.

The theme "Nusantara" is chosen because Thalassemia survivors come from various regions and are united in a community, Thalassemia Movement, which represents cultural diversity and national unity. With this theme, we want DORA 2024 to emphasize the message that in diversity, we can unite for a noble purpose.
