Collection of Nusantara Fabrics with Modern Nuances Displayed in Moscow

Dream - The Indonesian fashion industry continues to be actively showcased internationally. This time, designer Musa Widyatmodjo presented his work at the Moscow Creative Week 2023 through a unique and modern collection of Nusantara fabrics, named 'Mixturology'.

This collection brings an 'old school' atmosphere combined with a touch of contemporary fashion style. The ethnic nuances of Indonesia are very strong, but with a sweet look.

In the event held some time ago, Musa showcased three sets of ladies wear and two sets of mens wear. The cutting of this collection is simple, tailored to the climate in Russia.

Highlighting the Personal Side

The colors displayed tend to be soft earth tones. Featuring beautiful Indonesian fabric motifs in loose blouse, outerwear, and pants. 

"I am trying to combine Nusantara textiles with modern fashion style. From there, a unique look is created while still highlighting personal style," said Musa Widyatmodjo in a written statement received by Dream.

Combining Traditional and Modern

Musa also tries to combine Nusantara textiles with modern style, attracting global markets, especially in Russia. According to him, Russian people are very interested in Nusantara textiles, with a modern touch.

"They (Russian people) are interested in Nusantara textiles, as long as the character is modern and not too traditional," said Musa.

Opening Opportunities to the Russian Market

Musa Widyatmodjo's involvement in Moscow Creative Week 2023 is to open opportunities for Indonesian fashion products to enter the wider Russian market.

"Russian society is looking for new fashion products and we are here to fill that space. Moreover, in Russia, there is a scarcity of fashion products that have only been supplied from Western European countries and the United States," explained Musa.

Nindy Ayunda Looks Fresh in Moroccan Blue Dress

Dream - Nindy Ayunda, one of the Indonesian celebrities who always appears with an interesting fashion style. One of her eye-catching appearances is when she wears the Moroccan Blue outfit which looks stunning.
