Upset, Here's the List of iPhones That Didn't Get iOS 17

Dream - Apple is currently holding the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023, which takes place online from June 5 to 9.

Through this event, Apple officially introduced their latest operating system (OS), iOS 17. However, unfortunately not all iPhones will receive the latest system.

The updates brought by Apple in iOS 17 include features for phone applications, FaceTime, iMessages, including a smarter keyboard with better autocorrect. Then Journal and StandBy are new applications included in iOS 17.

The final version of the iOS 17 software update itself will be released in September, along with the launch of the iPhone 15.

Best and Worst iPhones in Five-Star Google Reviews: iPhone 14 Most Disappointing

Dream - The iPhone has become one of the smartphones loved by many. Apple's flagship phone is considered to have many advantages among gadget enthusiasts.

But among the many iPhone series, which one has the worst and best reviews?

The latest study from PerfectRec analyzed more than 600,000 Google reviews for iPhones from iPhone 4 to iPhone 14. This study resulted in five-star reviews from consumers.

According to GizmoChina, the lowest-rated iPhone is the iPhone 5C, with only 64 percent of users giving it the highest rating.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 13 Pro Max takes the top spot as the highest-rated iPhone with 86 percent of five-star reviews.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, released in 2022, received ratings of 76 percent and 80 percent, respectively.

However, overall, the drop in five-star reviews from iPhone 13 to iPhone 14 is the largest in over a decade of iPhone series, with an 8 percent decrease.

Nevertheless, PerfectRec states that this research does not reflect the thoughts of all Apple users. Expectations for iPhone phones are entirely personal, and user experiences can also vary.

iPhone 14 Found at the Bottom of the Sea, Surprisingly Still Works 33 Days Later

Dream - Smartphone owners panic when their beloved devices fall into a drain or bathtub. Although smartphone technology continues to improve and there are many tricks to keep them functioning, most owners worry that their phones cannot be salvaged.

However, a rare experience was had by a man from Minnesota (a state in the United States) who lost his iPhone 14 when it fell into the sea.

He was surprised when someone he didn't know found his Apple device after being submerged for 33 days. Not only that, but his device was still functioning.

According to Oddity Central, the man is Zach Siggelkow, a 27-year-old from St. Anthony Village, Minnesota, who was on vacation at Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, with his mother and sister in December of last year.

On the last day, Siggelkow decided to go kayaking and record some Air Force planes flying above him using his iPhone 14. Unfortunately, when a big wave hit the side of the kayak, it flipped over.

As he struggled to find his paddle and get back to the kayak, Zach realized that he had lost his smartphone and sunglasses.

Until 33 days later, he was surprised to receive an email from someone claiming to have found his iPhone at the bottom of the ocean.

The person who found it was Dr. Karl Brookins, a retired fisheries scientist who enjoys diving around Waikiki Beach.

"The bottom, you know, is pretty uniform out there and sandy with rocks, and it was like, there it is!" Brookins recalled. "I didn't expect this one to resurface because it started getting too hard."

Although Brookins didn't have high hopes of reviving the iPhone, he decided to give it a try.

Surprisingly, after a week in a bag filled with salt and rice to remove moisture, the Apple smartphone started charging and could be turned on.

After successfully opening it, Dr. Brookins was able to find the owner's email and contact them to return it.

"I was shocked," said Zach Siggelkow. "One, that he found it, obviously, two, that he was able to get into the phone, recover the video, and find my email address.

Unlocking an iPhone sounds like an achievement, but once again, the 27-year-old owner admits that the security code is just a series of '1s', so it's not really the most difficult password to crack.

Apple claims that the iPhone 14 can withstand up to 6 meters underwater for 30 minutes, but this iPhone has been at the bottom of the ocean for 33 days.

A few years ago, there was also an iPhone 11 that spent a year at the bottom of a lake and still functioned, and last year there was a story about another iPhone that had been at the bottom of a river for 10 months.
