"The Criteria for Proper Hijab that Muslim Women Need to Pay Attention to, Understand the Rules of Wearing It"

Dream - Hijab syari becomes the choice of many Muslim women as they become aware of the importance of covering their modesty. Hijab syari also becomes one of the fashion trends that is followed by many.

"Hijab syari is a hijab that not only covers the head but also the shoulders, chest, and the entire body except for the face and palms. Hijab syari is usually not brightly colored and covers the body up to the upper thighs. Photo: Instagram/sarahgumelar"

The criteria for a syari hijab is something that needs to be considered by every Muslimah. Apparently, there are still many people who do not fully understand the criteria for a syari hijab in Islam. To find out the criteria, just check out the full article here! With the following criteria for a syari hijab, hopefully more Muslimahs will start to understand and practice it in their daily lives.

Closing the Entire Body Except the Face and Palms of the Hands.

The criteria for wearing a syari hijab is not something unfamiliar to Muslim men and women. Every Muslim should understand this criteria as a duty for women to cover their aurat according to the sharia law. The first criteria is to cover the entire body except for the face and palms of the hands. Covering here means that the body's curves are no longer visible. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: "Indeed, when a girl reaches puberty, it is not permissible to see anything from her except for her face and hands up to the joints (wrists)." (HR. Abu Daud)

"Closing the Chest and Closing the Eyes"

The second criteria for a syari hijab is to cover the chest and ankles. Allah says in Surah Al-Ahzab, verse 59: "O Prophet, tell your wives, your daughters, and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful." In addition, it is also mandatory to cover both ankles as stated in the following hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "It is obligatory to cover both ankles, either with an additional cloth or by wearing socks." (Narrated by Tirmidhi)

"Thick Fabric"

The following is the translation of the 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any html tags: "Thick fabric is part of the criteria for a syari hijab. That is why we need to pay attention to the fabric used to cover the aurat. It is narrated in a hadith that in the end times, many women dress but in reality are naked. This is because the fabric used to cover the aurat is very thin."

"Hijab and Loose Clothing"

Wearing a hijab and loose clothing is in line with the previous criteria of a syari hijab. Tight clothing does not meet the requirements of covering the aurat, as the curves of the body will be visible and can provoke male desire.

"Not Excessive"

The criteria for a syari hijab that is equally important to consider is not excessive and does not require the use of fragrances. Nowadays, there are more and more Muslim women who are excessively wearing hijab, to the point of wearing many accessories.

"Not Using Fragrance"

Fragrance is also prohibited to be used excessively for women who wear hijabs. Especially if it is sprayed with the intention of attracting the attention of the opposite sex. "Any woman who wears fragrance, then goes out and passes by in front of many people so that they can smell it, then she is an adulteress." (HR. Abu Daud and Tirmidzi)

Wearing a hijab is not for fame

Wearing hijab is a religious command, not because of fame or just wanting to be considered pious. That's why a woman doesn't need to wear hijab and excessive, flashy, and expensive clothing just because she wants to be admired and talked about. Instead, a Muslimah should wear hijab along with simple clothing as a practice of living a simple life according to the teachings of Islam.
