According to data from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), Indonesia produces more than 60 million tons of waste each year, the majority of which consists of plastic and other non-biodegradable materials. This certainly poses a serious threat to ecosystems and public health. Earth Day 2024, which falls on April 22nd, is the perfect moment to evaluate the lifestyle of society and consider the environmental impact, including that of the fashion industry.

In the midst of the fashion industry's significant contribution to the national economy, criticism regarding textile waste and the use of environmentally unfriendly materials remains a topic of discussion. However, slowly but surely, fashion sustainability emerges as one of the solutions to reduce carbon footprint and environmental impact.
