Mentioned in Hadith, This is a Portrait of Lod Gate where Dajjal is Killed by Prophet Isa AS

Dream - As Muslims, we are obligated to believe in the Day of Judgment, even though we do not know when it will happen. However, the signs of the end times are mentioned in several hadith narrations.

One of the signs is the appearance of Dajjal, who is described as a poison, a liar, and can distance people from their Lord. It is narrated that Dajjal will be killed by Prophet Isa who descends from the sky.

Several narrations mention that Dajjal will be killed by Prophet Isa in a building as a marker of the entrance to Lod city, Israel, which until now still stands firmly on the edge of a road.

A hadith is narrated from Mujami bin Jariyah al-Anshari RA, the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Indeed, Isa bin Maryam will kill Dajjal at Bab Lud (Lod Gate)." (HR Ahmad, Turmudzi, and Nu'aim bin Hamad).

Precisely, Lod Gate is located at the entrance of Lod city, 15 kilometers southeast of Tel Aviv, Israel, near Ben Gurion airport, or about 3 kilometers north of Romlah.

This building has a box shape and there is a kind of dome on it. In the past, this building was a well named Zibaq which stood on a land owned by someone named As'ad Ahmad Haji Yasin.

The Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Then Isa bin Maryam descended at the white tower in the eastern part of Damascus. Isa found Dajjal at the Lod Gate, then killed him." (HR Abu Daud).

Meanwhile, Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin Al-Hamid said that Prophet Isa will descend to face Dajjal and then kill him.

"Prophet Isa said that I will descend to face Dajjal and I will kill him. He will be killed in Babil Lud, near Baitul Maqdis there, when trying to enter Baitul Maqdis," said Habib Ali.

Prophet Isa will descend and kill Dajjal by using a spear, which is then thrust into the chest of Dajjal, causing him to die.

After Dajjal is killed, all people who come from various countries will then return to their respective homes and homelands.

"Prophet Isa narrated in a sahih Hadith, it is narrated that the killing of Dajjal will be done by Prophet Isa using a spear. And it will be killed right in his chest. When that spear is pulled out, it will show the blood of Dajjal who has been killed by Prophet Isa," continued Habib Ali.

About the appearance of Dajjal and his war with Prophet Isa, the Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "While sleeping, I dreamt of circumambulating the Ka'bah. Then, there was a man with thick hair dripping water from his head, so I asked who is this? They answered, 'Ibnu Maryam AS'."

"Then, I turned and saw a fat man, red-skinned, curly-haired, one-eyed, and his eye was like a ripe grape (not shining). They said, 'This is Dajjal'. He is the one who most resembles Ibn Qathn, a man from Khuza'ah." (HR Bukhari and Muslim).

In another narration, it is also mentioned that Prophet Isa followed Dajjal to Lod Gate and managed to kill him.

"There is no living disbeliever left, all of them are killed. Then, Isa managed to catch up with Dajjal at Lod Gate and killed him. Then, some Muslims are saved by Allah to the presence of Isa bin Maryam." He wiped their faces and informed them about their position in paradise." (HR Muslim, Ahmad, Abu Daud, Turmudzi, Ibnu Majah, and Hakim).
