She kept waiting for her child to break the fast together. Unfortunately, her child didn't come until Azizah took her last breath.
This heartbreaking story was shared by an ustaz named Yaakub Yusra on a talk show in Malaysia and uploaded by the TikTok account @Sueizrai.
The ustaz narrated that Azizah's four children worked in different cities, so she lived alone.
The child promised to come and break the fast on Azizah's birthday. Hearing that, she was so happy that she marked the calendar every day.
She was so happy that Azizah had prepared the clothes she would wear. She dressed up nicely to make the event memorable for her.
As the time for breaking the fast approached, her child didn't come. The woman could only wait until late at night.
By 8 p.m., she hadn't consumed any food or drink. The woman fell asleep with disappointment.
Unfortunately, her longing for her child was never fulfilled until her last moments. Azizah took her last breath before suhoor without being accompanied by her child.
The ustaz then advised the four children to seek forgiveness immediately.
"There is no heaven for you except hell. If your parents die without being pleased with you, before you die, quickly seek repentance from Allah," he said.
The post went viral on social media and received many responses from netizens. They also expressed their sympathy for what the mother had experienced.
"Oh Allah, how disappointed the mother was. I'm afraid of disappointing my mother," wrote @andika.
"Allah loves that mother, she doesn't want to be disappointed for too long. Rest peacefully, may you have heaven, God willing," wrote ahmad ikhwannudee.
