Dream - The sound of a baby's and toddler's breath often causes concern for parents. Some children have a breathing sound that seems like they are always exhausted, like someone who has just finished running fast or far. Their breath is gasping and wheezing.

The condition can actually be a sign that there is a health problem in children that parents often do not realize. Dr. Lucky Yogasatria, a pediatric specialist, provides an explanation.

Breathlessness usually occurs after completing fast and heavy physical activities. Like when a child plays running or jumping. If in normal condition but he/she is breathless, like after running, and this happens repeatedly, then it needs to be taken seriously.

"If his activities are just normal but apparently he needs more oxygen, we have to pay attention to why. It means there is a problem with his child. Either there is a problem in his lungs, that's why he is gasping for breath, or there is a problem with his heart," said Dr. Lucky."

"Swallowing a drink, sucking it requires energy. If he doesn't have any problems, his energy is enough with breathing, but because his heart has problems when he sucks and swallows, he needs more energy," said Dr. Lucky.

It is important to be cautious if the shortness of breath symptoms are accompanied by bluish color on the lips of the little one. This condition strongly indicates a heart disorder.
