Dream - Making a baby fall asleep throughout the night is indeed not easy. The sleep pattern of a baby who still frequently wakes up at night and makes the mother sometimes have to keep waking up at night.
If this happens occasionally, it may not be a problem. But what are the consequences if it happens every day? Mother becomes sleep deprived, mood becomes unstable. Baby's growth and development also become suboptimal, because during nighttime sleep, the process of baby's brain development occurs.
"There is no baby who has a messy sleep pattern. It's just that babies have bad sleeping habits"
According to Ingrid Prueher, a pediatrician in Fairfield, Connecticut.

If you want your baby to sleep soundly throughout the night, there are several things that parents can do. Fathers and mothers must try the following tricks to make the little one sleep soundly until morning.
1. Getting used to the same routine Every Day
Studies show that creating a sleep schedule is very important to help babies sleep more soundly. About half an hour before bed, try to reduce noise and turn off the lights.
"One way babies learn that it's time to sleep is through signals around them."
According to Deborah Givan, MD, a clinical pediatric professor at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Adjust the lighting because it will help regulate the baby's sleep patterns. Reduce nighttime light and let the baby be exposed to bright morning light. Create a calmer environment. Start a gentle bedtime routine such as taking a warm bath, singing children's songs, or softly reading stories from the beginning. Continue until 6-8 weeks.
2. Set Eating and Sleeping Schedule
Implementation of a feeding schedule with sleep should be arranged from the beginning. If not, later on, the baby will think that sleep is the same as eating. It is better to move the mealtime earlier, create a relaxing routine, and put the baby to sleep when they are almost asleep but still awake.
3. Set Up Nap Time
During the time when the baby is 3 to 4 months old, they will stay awake longer during the day. This is the right time to start organizing their nap schedule, such as sleeping once in the morning, once in the early afternoon, and if necessary, taking a short nap in the evening.
Do not let the baby nap for too long. This will make them stay awake longer at night. If they go to bed early at night, the baby also tends to wake up early in the morning if they nap for a long time.
4. Reduce Afternoon Snacks
"Sleep and nutrition are very important and are interconnected. In the first 8 weeks, make sure to feed the baby every two to three hours according to their preference. Also, keep track of how much bottle milk is consumed or how long breastfeeding takes in a day."
If the baby eats well during the day, they will be able to sleep for four to six hours at night at around 2.5 to 3 months old. To help the baby eat more efficiently, try to space out their feeding times. Distract them with a pacifier or entertainment so that they are truly hungry by mealtime and don't need to be given snacks. Report by Amanda Syafira/ Source: Parents.com
