Dream - Sad news comes from the entertainment world of the homeland, as veteran actor Johan Saimama passed away on April 7, 2024. This sad news was shared by film observer Yan Widjata through the X account.
"RIP Johan Saimima (Jayapura 8/8/1956 - Palembang 7/4/2024) from a model, fashion designer, armed with karate became an icon of the Inem Film stars," wrote Yan Widjaya."
"For now, the body has been buried in Palembang on Sunday afternoon. 'Playing in 57 films and 16 soap operas, including as Mr. Blek, the enemy of #Saras008 (1998 - 2003). Buried on Sunday at 16.00 at TPU Puncak Sekuning, Palembang,' he continued."
It is known that before his death, Johan Saimama had starred in 57 films and 16 soap operas. His name became popular through several films and soap operas such as the film Ganesha (1983), and appeared in a number of films such as Lutung Kasarunng (1983), Mandi dalam Lumpur (1984), Pembalasan Ratu Laut Selatan (1988), Si Buta dari Gua Hantu: Lembah Tengkorak (1990), and many more.
One of his iconic roles among the millennial generation is as Mister Blek, the antagonist character in the soap opera Saras 008.
"Before diving into the world of film, he started his career through vintage modeling, then began to venture into the action genre armed with his karate skills."
