Dream - Wulan Guritno reveals her experience while filming at Van Der Wijck Fortress located in Kebumen, Central Java, for the movie 'Bangsal Isolasi'. Wulan Guritno admitted feeling uncomfortable atmosphere while being at the fortress. According to her, the filming location was quite creepy.
"When I first entered there, I could feel that this place is different, there is a cold sensation, and the atmosphere is unusual," said Wulan Guritno during the press conference of the Isolation Ward in South Jakarta, Thursday, July 18, 2024."
"However, Wulan is grateful that she did not experience any strange incidents or disturbances from supernatural beings. She admitted that she intentionally restrained herself from behaving oddly or speaking recklessly in the Dutch colonial heritage site."
"But thank God everything is fine because I don't break promises, I don't speak carelessly, I stay quiet like a princess in Solo there, not like Wulan. So everything is fine."

Although not experiencing any disturbances, Wulan admitted to listening to horror stories from the crew and art team who had experienced frightening incidents.
"There is indeed a story from my artist friends, 'it's better not to shoot after midnight', artist friends are used to being approached. If here, there are some who are approached and asked to stop shooting first."

"For her role in this film, Wulan Guritno found it quite challenging to portray the character of Bela, a mischievous senior inmate. "Honestly, when I got the role of Bela, I felt like I wasn't fully prepared yet. But being on set, wearing a prison uniform without makeup, being in a damp and moldy environment, helped me mature instantly," expressed Wulan Guritno."
"Synopsis"
Isolation Ward set against Central Java in 1990, focuses on the investigation efforts of a journalist, Weni (Kimberly Rider), who disguises herself as a prisoner to uncover the mystery of her sibling's death. From there, strange events start to unfold.
Apart from Wulan Guritno, this film by Mesari Pictures and JP Pictures is also starred by Kimberly Ryder, Ibrahim Risyad, Piet Pagauw Roweina Umboh, and Ryan DeYe. This film will be screened in theaters on July 25, 2024.
