Failed Junior High School to Become a Dangdut Singer and Paid Rp60 Thousand, This Woman is Now a Socialite, Guess Who?

Since adolescence, she has been a traveling dangdut singer. This busyness forced her to drop out of school since junior high school to increase her family's income.

The woman is Zaskia Gotik. She admitted that she didn't graduate from junior high school because she chose to become a singer.

"So, here's the thing, I used to sing from one stage to another, at events, circumcision ceremonies. After that, I always felt late and scolded. So I made a decision, 'Well, I'll just sing, Mom, help Mom and Dad work,'" said Zaskia Gotik in a YouTube video from Trans TV Official.

Her decision was initially opposed by her parents. However, she refused to continue school because she was not interested.

"What about school, Eneng?' It's okay, later Eneng can catch up on her schooling as long as Eneng can help Mom and Dad," she said.

When asked about her income, the owner of the Itik dance admitted that she received payment of no more than Rp120,000. However, for additional income, Zaskia Gotik can receive money from tips.

"In the past, when I first started singing, I was paid Rp60,000, Rp80,000 per day. The highest was Rp120,000, the highest. I forgot which year. We also looked for additional income from tips. For example, if we get Rp5 million in tips on stage, we divide it equally among the other performers," said Zaskia Gotik.

However, as is known, Zaskia Gotik is now known as a successful singer. Zaskia even managed to build a house for her parents in Cikarang, Bekasi.

Zaskia has also successfully expanded her career into the business world. She is known to own boarding houses and rent around 200 rooms. The profits from her business add to her wealth.

The 33-year-old dangdut singer is also married to a businessman and is currently taking a break to take care of her three children.
