Andika Mahesa chose to leave Kangen Band in 2012. Strong disagreements among the members are believed to be the main reason. He then tried to pursue a career as a solo singer.

Apparently, having a career as a singer made Andika feel bored. He then decided to take a break for a while and chose to return to his hometown.

However, during that hiatus, he never managed to find another job. Andika then switched professions and became a farmer in his hometown.

Becoming a farmer apparently is not easy for Andika. Especially, he has to wait for several months to earn money from the harvest. He is brainstorming to survive and support his family.

However, Ruben did not accept the offer but instead helped Andika in a different way. Ruben then created a new image for Andika with the name "Babang Tamvan" which has kept him popular until now.

Now Andika has returned to making music with Kangen Band and other members. They have also started receiving many jobs and are able to perform concerts.

Kangen Band is one of the bands that has many loyal fans. Their songs are often favorites among young people.

Although often causing controversy regarding his love relationship, fans are still eagerly awaiting Andika's works with Kangen Band.
