Not Afraid of Being Ridiculed for Appearing Syar'i, Zaskia Mecca Provides a Calm Explanation

Dream - Zaskia Mecca changed her appearance after returning from the Hajj pilgrimage. After arriving from the Holy Land, Hanung Bramantyo's wife wore syar'i clothing and a long hijab. This change apparently became a question for the people around her, whether she really changed or just for content purposes.

"Many people asked, from family, friends, even my own children, 'wow, did you change your clothes?' 'are you syar'i now?' 'it looks more calming' 'is it true?'" wrote Zaskia Mecca on Instagram Story.

The mother of five cannot confirm whether she will really appear syar'i forever or not. What is certain is that for now, she feels comfortable wearing loose clothing and a long hijab.

"I'm currently not brave enough to say much, answering is also confusing.. I wear it because it's comfortable.. it keeps reminding me of the beautiful journey yesterday that always feels attached," she added.

According to Zaskia, her new appearance made some of her family members afraid that she would be bullied if she ever returned to appearing casual.

However, Zaskia doesn't care because the most important thing is that Allah is the one who can judge her faith.

"Don't worry, God willing, I won't be disturbed by all that.. because only Allah will judge the depth of my faith without me having to explain it to humans," she said.

Zaskia also advised her followers not to judge someone based on their appearance. Because the one who has the right to judge is the Creator.
