Andika Kangen Band's Heartbreaking Story of Meeting His Birth Mother for the First Time in Prison

Dream - Andika Mahesa has a quite heartbreaking story in his life. The Kangen Band vocalist revealed that he was not raised by his mother since childhood.

"My mother was depressed, not normal like us. Since the separation with my father," said Andika Kangen Band in a video uploaded by the Instagram account @rumpi_gosip.

According to Mahesa, he was raised by his father and aunt since he was a child. He also never knew any news about his mother since his parents divorced.

"I was two months old when they separated. I was taken care of by my aunt and father. So, my father worked, came home to give money, and left again," he continued.

Until finally, Andika met his mother five years ago while she was in prison.

"Meeting my birth mother was the first time ever. Your birth mother, as told by my aunt, I immediately cried and prostrated at her feet," he said.

Andika felt deeply touched and happy to be able to meet his mother in prison because his father had never introduced him to his birth mother.

"I didn't know before, never saw her face. Yes, my father kept it hidden, not allowed to know. Maybe because my father has passed away, they dared to reveal it," said Andika Kangen Band.

Undeniably, in their first meeting, Andika felt deeply moved to the point of prostrating himself at his birth mother's feet.

"That was the first time I was visited by my own birth mother. Your birth mother, as told by my aunt, I immediately cried and prostrated at her feet," he said.
