Dream - Salma Salsabil or better known as Salma Idol received criticism. This is because Salma Salsabil parodied the lyrics of the song "Stasiun Balapan" by Didi Kempot. The lyrics that should have been "Koe karo aku" were replaced with inappropriate language. Check out the details below.
Salma Idol is a singer from Probolinggo, East Java. The owner of the full name Salma Salsabil 'Aliyah Putri Mandaya was born on February 12, 2002.
Salma is known to have pursued education at the Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI) Yogyakarta majoring in Music Presentation.
"Joining a singing talent search competition"
Salma Salsabil obtained a golden ticket at the Indonesian Idol season 12 audition. From there, the public witnessed her singing talent.
Salma finally succeeded in entering the grand final of Indonesian Idol.
Because of her singing talent, Salma succeeded in winning after performing the song "Just The Way You Are" by Bruno Mars in the final.
"Previously Salma has also participated in several auditions. Starting from Idola Cilik season 4, The Voice Kids Indonesia Season 1, Rising Star Indonesia Season 2, The Voice Indonesia Season 3, and Sunsilk Hijab Hunt 2017."
Lately, Salma Salsabil has been highlighted for changing the lyrics of Didi Kempot's song titled "Stasiun Balapan".
Salma changed the Javanese lyrics "kowe karo aku," which means you and me, to "kowe karo asu," which means you and a dog. That word often becomes a curse word with a rude connotation. Yan Vellia, the late Didi Kempot's wife, spoke up. In her Instagram post, she asked Salma to help preserve Didi Kempot's legacy.
