Dream - Having a career of more than 40 years in the acting world doesn't always mean that senior actress Jajang C Noer doesn't face difficulties when portraying a character. For the first time, Jajang admitted to having difficulty memorizing dialogues in the Minang language in her latest film titled Onde Mande.

Jajang felt that the difficulty increased to the point of almost dying because all the scripts she received were in the Minang language.

"I almost die memorizing the script," said Jajang C Noer at Cinepolis Senayan Park, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

Jajang C Noer felt even more pressured because she is a native Minang person but still has difficulty pronouncing the Minang language correctly. Throughout her life in Jakarta, Jajang has never had a dialogue in the Minang language.

"I am from Padang, but apparently it's still difficult. This is the most difficult role in my career," explained Jajang C Noer.

To immerse herself in the role of Uni Nita, Jajang C Noer had to read the script dozens of times to ensure her acting was appropriate and her language pronunciation was accurate.

"I memorized it, I could read it 15 times repeatedly," she said.

After seeing the result of this film, Jajang C Noer expressed her satisfaction because she was able to participate in a film that portrays Minang culture, especially in the Danau Maninjau area.

"This film is very Minang. Minang films like this are very rare. This is a Minangkabau film that is about everyday life, not about history. So hopefully, it will be very beneficial," said Jajang.

In addition to Jajang C Noer, the film Onde Mande, which will be released on June 22, 2023, in cinemas, also stars Shenina Cinnamon, Emir Mahira, Ajil Ditto, Shahabi Sakri, and Jose Rizal Manua.

This film tells the story of the intrigues of villagers living on the edge of Danau Maninjau, West Sumatra, who plan a big scheme to win a Rp2 billion prize from a soap company.

This is because the winner of the contest, Angku Wan (Musra Dahrizal), who is an elder in the village, died before claiming the prize.

Through various means, the villagers, such as Ni Ta (Jajang C Noer), Da Am (Jose Rizal Manua), Si Mar (Shenina Cinnamon), and others, try to convince the soap company that Angku Wan is still alive because they want to use the prize to improve the welfare of the village.
