Jose Poernomo as the director explained that this film deliberately tells a story from the Sunda land because no one has ever addressed this theme before. This film is also more interesting because it is based on a true story. "We want to try to depict what we saw when we entered Pulau Majeti, but we really didn't dramatize it. We really tried to depict what was there," added Jose Poernomo.

Girry Pratama as the producer said that in the future, this film will be shown with all the dialogues using the Sundanese language. "Usually horror films are closely related to the land of Java, but this time we bring it to the land of Sunda, still Java but West Java," said Girry.

"Not a native of Priangan, Tatjana Saphira, who does not speak Sundanese, decided to take a course in order to portray her character well. 'It was really challenging to learn Sundanese, and I was shocked when I received the script all in Indonesian and we had a reading session. At that moment, I was trapped with the announcement that this film is entirely in Sundanese, but luckily there was an acting coach,' Tatjana expressed."
