Verrell Bramasta Wants to Become a Politician Following His Mother's Footsteps

Dream - Young actor Verrell Bramasta has set his sights on entering the world of politics following in the footsteps of his mother, Venna Melinda. The former boyfriend of Natasha Wilona even boldly stated that he is ready to leave the entertainment world that has made him a famous artist.

Verrel is registered as a candidate legislator from the National Mandate Party (PAN) for the West Java 7 Electoral District in the 2024 Election.

Before deciding to enter politics, Verrell admitted that he had discussed it extensively with both of his parents. Venna, who was a member of the House of Representatives, also gave advice to her eldest son.

"Of course, I have had long discussions with Mama and Papa, who have already entered the world of politics," said Verrell when met in the SCBD area recently.

From the advice given by his mother, Verrell realizes that in the future, he will no longer be responsible only to his management or team.

"For example, if God willing, I am elected as a representative of the people, my responsibility will no longer be for my team or management, but for the wider community," added Verrell.

The 26-year-old man admitted that his desire to enter politics was inspired by his mother, who had entered politics before him. When he was a member of the House of Representatives, Verrel often saw Venna trying to help and absorb the aspirations of the community.  

Verrel even mentioned that all the activities carried out by his mother as a legislator came from her own money. 

"What always touched me was when I saw mama," said Verrel, adding, "That's what makes me want it, if I am given the opportunity and trust like that, I can do it like mama."

Ready to Leave the Entertainment World

As the son of celebrity parents, Verrell does not deny that his decision to enter politics will be associated with the label "celebrity child". However, he sees the opinions of many people as motivation and advantage.

Not only in politics, Verrel has also experienced similar labels when he entered the entertainment industry. He cannot deny this fact, but Verrel feels that this perception is not a burden or something to worry about.

"It cannot be denied that I am Venna's and Ivan's son," he said. 

The star of the series Cinta Anak Muda (Love of the Young) admits that he is ready to leave the entertainment world that has made him famous when he is elected as a representative of the people.

"Whether I am ready or not, it seems that I have started to leave the entertainment industry. But, God willing, if I am elected, I have to leave, I have to be ready," he said.

Verrell Bramasta Cries as He Shares the Lowest Point in His Life, Natasha Wilona Apologizes

Dream - Verrell Bramasta shares the story of his past, which was once filled with sorrowful experiences and almost took his life. He shared this story with his former girlfriend, Natasha Wilona.

This story began when Verrell was in the 3rd year of high school. At that time, Verrel was overwhelmed by sadness due to his parents' separation.

Since his parents' divorce, Verrell and Athala lived with Venna Melinda. During their months of living in their mother's house, Verrell was not allowed to meet his father, Ivan Fadilla.

"At that time, Mama and Papa suddenly separated, and I stayed with Mama and was not allowed to meet Papa," said Verrell Bramasta, as quoted from Youtube iWil Network, on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Overwhelmed by deep longing, Verrell secretly decided to meet his father who lived in an apartment in the Pejaten area.

Coincidentally, at that time, he was visiting one of his friends who also lived in Pejaten.

"When I went home (from my friend's house), I went to my father's apartment because I missed him. When I went home, I wanted to meet him because I just found out that he (my father) lived there," said Verrell.

After returning home, his mother found out about Verrell's actions and scolded him. He and his mother even argued about his secret meeting with his father.

"My mother said things like 'why did you meet your father like that and so on," Verrell said while crying.

Since then, Verrell, who was still sad, felt that everything he did was always wrong in his mother's eyes. He even felt that his life was meaningless after experiencing many hardships when his parents divorced.

"I felt like I wanted to commit suicide. I felt like I had done everything right, I tried to be strong but I was always wrong. Until finally, I thought, what's the point of living if I'm always wrong in your eyes," said Verrell.

After telling his story to Wilona, Verrell did not expect to cry. Wilona, who was beside him, gave him encouragement and apologized.

"Why am I crying," said Verrell.

"I'm sorry, Rel, I didn't mean to reopen old wounds or your past experiences. But whatever the biggest problem you've been through and the heaviest trauma you've experienced, Verrell being the person you are now, I think it's the best and greatest," said Wilona.
