Lying is considered as dishonest behavior and can damage trust between individuals or groups. From a moral standpoint, lying is seen as an unethical action and can have negative consequences in social relationships. That is why the Prophet Muhammad advised his followers to always prioritize good deeds throughout their lives. Every action we take will receive retribution in the Day of Judgment. Both good and bad deeds will be held accountable in the afterlife. This includes always speaking the truth according to what happens.

"\u201cYou should always speak the truth, for indeed honesty leads to goodness, and indeed goodness leads to paradise. A person who is always honest and remains in honesty will be written by Allah as a truthful person. Keep yourselves away from lies, for indeed lies lead to wickedness/sin, and indeed wickedness will lead to hellfire. A person who always lies and remains in lies will be written by Allah as a liar.\u201d (Muttafaqun \u2018Alaih)"

People who like to lie will cause heartache. "And among the people there are those who say, 'We believe in Allah and the Last Day,' while they are not believers. They deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves without realizing it. In their hearts, there is a disease, so Allah increases their disease, and they will have a painful punishment because they lie." (QS. Al-Baqarah 8-10)

From Ibn Mas'ud RA, he said, the Messenger of Allah SAW said: "You should speak the truth, for verily truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A person who is always truthful and remains in truthfulness will be recorded by Allah as a truthful person. Keep yourselves away from lying, for verily lying leads to wickedness/sinfulness, and wickedness/sinfulness will lead to Hellfire. A person who is always lying and remains in falsehood will be recorded by Allah as a liar." (Muttafaqun 'Alaih)
