Customs of Kudus Regency successfully prevented the shipment of 196,000 illegal cigarettes ready for distribution. The enforcement against the illegal cigarettes was carried out at a shipping agency in Pelemkerep Village, Mayong District, Jepara Regency.
"The team conducted a land patrol targeting delivery service agents in several areas of Jepara Regency. From the results of the patrol, officers suspected several packages believed to contain illegal cigarettes at one of the delivery service agents in Pelemkerep Village, Mayong District, Jeparala Regency. We immediately inspected them."

From the inspection of 117 packages, officials found 8,860 machine-made kretek cigarette packs (SKM) with various brands such as Lois L Bold, JAYA BOLD, GUCI, FLASH BOLD, and DUBAI without excise tape. In addition, officials also found 940 packs of LiNK BOLD SKM cigarettes with suspected counterfeit excise tape.
"The estimated value of confiscated illegal cigarettes is Rp270,480,000.00 with a potential loss to the state of Rp187,615,120.00."
