"Dream - The collision of the Turangga and Bandung Raya trains in Cicalengka, Bandung Regency, marks the beginning of sad news for the people of Indonesia in this year 2024. The accident occurred on the Haurpugur - Cicalengka road section, on Friday, January 5, 2024, at around 06:30 WIB. So far, there are 3 fatalities due to the accident. The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, confirmed that the current number of casualties is three people, namely the Engineer, Assistant Engineer, and Train Attendant of the Turangga train."

The aerial photo shows the accident between the Turangga Train (KA) and the Bandung Raya Commuter Line Train at the railway section between Haurpugur Station and Cicalengka at KM 181, Bandung Regency, West Java.
The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, confirmed that the current number of fatalities is three people, namely the Train Driver, Assistant Train Driver, and the Train Attendant of the Turangga train.
"Meanwhile, the number of victims who were injured is 28 people."
"Until now, the evacuation process is still ongoing. The condition of the train carriage that has suffered severe damage is visible."
Due to this incident, the railway line between Haurpugur - Cicalengka is temporarily impassable.
"From the circulating video, it appears that the train carriage was crushed and bounced into the rice fields. The surviving passengers who were injured were evacuated at the edge of the rice fields."
"Previously, there was a bullfighting accident between the Turangga train heading to Bandung and the Bandung Raya Commuterline train."
