Dream - A husband must fulfill his obligations to his wife. One of those obligations is to provide for her. The scholars have agreed that it is the husband's duty to provide for his wife based on Surah At-Talaq verse 7 which states: "Let the man of means spend according to his means; and let him whose resources are restricted spend according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not burden a soul beyond what He has given it."

This is in accordance with the principle of charity that emphasizes the importance of giving sustenance to those in need, including family members. Allah says in the Quran Surah At-Talaq verse 7: "Allah will open up sustenance for whom He wills without measure. And whoever relies upon Allah, then Allah is sufficient for him, indeed Allah will accomplish His purpose."

The hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah states: "Three things continue to bring rewards (to a person who has passed away) even after their death, namely ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and righteous children who pray for the goodness of their parents." (Narrated by Muslim) Providing for one's wife and children is a form of ongoing charity, as it fulfills their needs and earns the pleasure of Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also emphasized the husband's duty to provide for his wife. The Quranic verse that serves as a reference for determining the amount of sustenance includes Surah Al-Baqarah, verse 236, which regulates sustenance for separated wives. Then, Surah An-Nisa, verse 34, explains the husband's responsibility to provide sustenance and treat his wife fairly."

"Thus, the amount of maintenance that must be fulfilled by the husband should be sufficient to meet the basic needs of the wife according to the living standards in their place of residence. As agreed upon by scholars from various schools of thought and in line with the teachings of the Quran and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad."

Speaking softly and wisely to the husband, in accordance with Surah An-Nahl verse 125 which teaches to speak with good words. Approaching the husband with patience and trying to understand the reasons behind his stingy behavior, in accordance with Surah Al-Asr verse 3 which teaches to advise each other with truth and patience. Praying to Allah SWT for the husband to be guided and blessed with abundance, in accordance with Surah Al-Baqarah verse 186 which teaches to seek His help in every difficulty.

Giving examples of kindness by sharing blessings with one's husband and others, in accordance with the verse Ali-Imran 110 which teaches to be a fair community. Reflecting on the initial intention of marriage, which is to support and build a harmonious household, in accordance with the verse Ar-Rum 21 which teaches the importance of love between husband and wife. Communicating economic and spiritual needs honestly and openly to one's husband, in accordance with the verse An-Nisa 135 which teaches to be fair and honest to one's husband.

Inviting the husband to learn more deeply about the teachings of Islam, especially regarding the obligation of providing and the voluntary attitude in giving alms, in accordance with Surah At-Tawbah verse 103 which teaches the importance of studying and understanding the teachings of religion in its entirety.

"O Allah, O my Lord, open for us the doors of goodness, the doors of blessings, the doors of mercy, the doors of strength, the doors of sustenance, the doors of health, and the doors of salvation. For You alone are the Most Compassionate and the Most Merciful."
