According to Al Jazeera, on Saturday, November 16, 2023, doctors and other witnesses reported that Israeli forces demolished tents housing displaced Palestinians near the Kamal Adwan Hospital. The hospital is one of the 11 functioning hospitals in Gaza since Israel launched its military attack on October 7, 2023. Eyewitnesses told Al Jazeera that civilians were deliberately targeted.

"Although Israeli forces have now withdrawn from the hospital, the Israeli military said they have detained 90 people and found weapons and ammunition inside the hospital after the raid. Israeli forces raided the hospital on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, after surrounding and firing at the hospital for several days. Since the raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital, according to doctors, the atmosphere has been filled with fear and terror."

"The injured victims need to undergo surgery but we can't do anything," said Wafa Albus, a doctor at the hospital, to Al Jazeera. While pointing to a woman and a man lying on the floor, she stated that there were no beds for the patients. "Is this a hospital? This situation is unbearable," she exclaimed. She also described how the Israeli forces treated the patients and doctors during the raid that lasted for several days."
