Some companies have even introduced stress management programs that include relaxation techniques, meditation, yoga, or therapy aimed at reducing irritability and anxiety. Recently, SoftBank, a company in Japan, has found a much more efficient solution. According to Oddity Central, they use AI technology to transform the sound of shouting and aggressive speech from customers into a calmer voice.

Interestingly, this filter does not change the words spoken by someone, but significantly softens their intonation. Call center operators will still hear all the insults spoken, but in a gentle tone, which should help reduce their stress and anxiety. To train the AI, SoftBank engineers asked 10 actors to record at least 100 common phrases including screams, accusations, threats, and apologies. In total, over 10,000 voice data were used to train the AI filter.
