Dream - Climate change poses a unique challenge for human beings and creatures living on Earth.
Just a little change in climate, whether it becomes hot or cold, human beings and other creatures will experience extremely distressing natural disasters. Human beings must adapt to new climates every day. And that's only if humans are able to survive.
"While animals and plants also have to adapt to their lives. However, the possibility of survival is very small."
Then what if the Earth suddenly stops spinning? What will happen to the creatures that inhabit it?
Professor of Earth and Environmental Geoscience at Colgate University, Joseph Levy, describes what would happen if the Earth suddenly stopped rotating.
According to him, if that happens, humans will be thrown to the east at a speed of approximately 1,673.72 km per hour.
"Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Colgate University, Joseph Levy, told Science Alert."
Not only humans, but also trees and buildings all over the Earth will experience a similar fate. Although trees and buildings have strong roots or foundations deeply embedded in the ground.
"Not only that, the sea will also undergo significant changes, with massive waves hitting when the Earth stops rotating."
Interestingly, the impact will be slightly different for those living in Antarctica. This is because the rotation speed of the Earth near the poles is lower than in other areas.
However, the small impact only occurs if humans are very close to the poles. Specifically, if they are within the latitude of 89.9 degrees or approximately 12 km from the pole.
Levy also describes the unique situation related to the duration of day and night when the Earth stops rotating. Half of the planet will experience night for six months, while the other half will experience daytime all the time.

However, when night falls, the impact is also unpleasant. The lack of light and warmth can threaten plants and freeze water into layers of ice.
Although higher latitude regions may be safer, humans will continue to chase the Sun's rays all over the world. Humans will become a nomadic society as they constantly try to move to areas with abundant sunlight.
Besides that, humans will also face sudden and unexpected weather changes. When only half of the Earth receives intense sunlight for months, weather predictions become twice as complicated.
