"Jokowi revealed that his activities today will be filled with a limited meeting (Ratas) with the ranks of the IKN Authority, governors, and local regents. Because it also involves workers," said Jokowi at the IKN Presidential Office."

According to Jokowi, he will assess the situation first before confirming how long he will be working at IKN. He will also consider the activities of project workers that are often disrupted when he passes by.

"To get there, all the working people stopped. The Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) checked everything. I passed by; I mean, let the workers work, I passed by," he said. On that occasion, Jokowi also emphasized that the development in IKN is progressing very well. Therefore, he is optimistic that the commemoration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day can proceed smoothly."

The Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, said that Jokowi will hold his first meeting with the IKN Authority and the ranks of the East Kalimantan Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) on his first day in office at IKN. "His plan is to meet with the ranks of OIKN accompanied by the Minister of State Secretary and the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing. He will also receive the ranks of Forkompinda Kaltim," said Yusuf. Yusuf mentioned that the meeting at the IKN Palace will be conducted similarly to meetings at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
