This information went viral on social media X @BulanPemalu, which was directed at Melki. The post titled "KABEM UI 2023 commits SEXUAL VIOLENCE?" was uploaded on Monday, December 18, 2023.

In the post, it is also stated the Regulation of BEM UI Number 1 of 2023 regarding the deactivation of the BEM chairman. However, this regulation does not mention how long the deactivation will last. It is stated that Melki's position is temporarily replaced by Shifa Anindya Hartono as the Vice Chairman of BEM UI for the 2023 period.
