According to the website ekon.go.id, Rizal Ramli was born in Padang, West Sumatra, on December 10, 1954. The late Rizal Ramli was a former student activist, economist, and Indonesian politician. Rizal Ramli once served as a member of the United Nations (UN) Economic Advisory Panel at the international level, collaborating with several economists from various countries.
