Dream - Sahur is an essential part for Muslims who want to observe fasting. Whether it is obligatory fasting or voluntary fasting. Just like now, it is a time when Muslims are encouraged to observe Ayyamul Bidh fasting. Ayyamul Bidh fasting is a voluntary fasting in the Hijri month that falls on the 13th, 14th, and 15th dates. Observing this voluntary fasting has very special virtues. So, it would be a shame if it is missed by Muslims.
For Dream friends who want to do it, don't forget to have suhoor. Reading the suhoor prayer will make your suhoor worship more perfect and full of blessings.
The following is a reading of the pre-dawn fasting prayer of the optional Ayyamul Bidh fasting as compiled by Dream from various sources.
The translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any HTML tags is as follows: "Fasting Ayyamul Bidh is a voluntary fasting performed on certain specific days in every Hijri month."
The schedule for fasting Ayyamul Bidh falls on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of every Hijri month. The virtues of this fasting include receiving great rewards, forgiveness of sins, and the perfection of worship. The origin of fasting Ayyamul Bidh is derived from a hadith narrated by Abu Daud, which states that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) once said: "Fasting three days in a month is equal to fasting forever."
The benefits of fasting Ayyamul Bidh include getting closer to Allah SWT and receiving great rewards. The intention for fasting Ayyamul Bidh is "Usysumu Ghadhal Haridha fi sabillillahi ta'ala ayyaman bidakhli hadzal shahr. Allahumma taqabbal minni" which means "I intend to fast the voluntary fast of Ayyamul Bidh for the sake of Allah Ta'ala for a few days in this month. O Allah, accept my worship."
"In Islam, fasting without sahur is valid. Although sahur is not obligatory, but the Prophet Muhammad emphasized the importance of having sahur before fasting."
Sahur is the last time to eat before fasting and can provide physical strength and blessings in carrying out fasting. The Prophet Muhammad said, "Sahur is a blessing in fasting. Do not leave sahur, even if only by drinking a glass of water." The importance of sahur before fasting is to provide strength to the body in enduring hunger and thirst throughout the day.
With sahur, Muslims can fast better and receive the blessings promised by Allah SWT. However, fasting is still valid if someone does not have sahur. Some Muslims may have certain reasons that prevent them from being able to have sahur. In this case, fasting can be done without sahur and still considered valid as long as the intention to fast has been declared before the time of dawn arrives.
"Thus, fasting without sahur in Islam is valid and allowed, but sahur remains important to obtain blessings in performing the fasting worship."
The following are some hadiths about sahur and its virtues.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Have sahur (pre-dawn meal), for indeed there is blessings in sahur." (Narrated by Bukhari) In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad emphasizes the virtue of having sahur and shows that having sahur is a time full of blessings. By having sahur, a person will receive blessings in their fasting worship.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who have suhoor." (Narrated by Ahmad) This hadith emphasizes that the time of suhoor is a blessed time in the sight of Allah. By observing suhoor, a person will receive blessings and forgiveness from Him.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Indeed, there is a blessed food, which is sahur." (HR. Ahmad) This hadith indicates that having sahur is a source of blessings and goodness. By having sahur, a person will receive blessings in performing fasting worship.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "Verily, Allah and His angels send blessings upon those who eat sahur." (Narrated by Ibn Majah) This hadith once again shows the virtue of sahur and the blessed time in the sight of Allah. By eating sahur, a person will receive blessings and forgiveness from Him.
When about to eat sahur, it is recommended for Dream friends not to forget to read the prayer first. Here is the reading of the prayer taught by the Prophet Muhammad:
May Allah have mercy on those who have sahur. The meaning is: "May Allah send down His mercy upon those who have sahur." The above sahur prayer is mentioned in a hadith narrated by Imam At-Thabarani. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best sahur meal is dates." Then, he prayed: "May Allah send down His mercy upon those who have sahur."
