"The Panel of Judges, said Harli, did not consider the evidence presented by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) during the trial. In the trial, according to him, the JPU presented CCTV footage depicting the car driven by Edward Tannur running over Dini. The JPU also showed a forensic evidence stating that Dini died due to the injuries sustained. According to Harli, these trial facts should have been taken into consideration by the Panel of Judges. He believes that the Panel of Judges should consider the Kettingbewijs or chain of evidence."

"Following the acquittal decision, the Attorney General through the Head of Legal Bureau will respond by referring to the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP) as regulated in Article 245. While awaiting a copy of the decision and studying the case file for 14 days, the Public Prosecutor is considering filing a cassation legal effort."
