The news was officially announced on the official Instagram of the royal @theroyalfamily. Previously, King Charles underwent prostate surgery. Apparently, from the detailed examination results, there were cancer cells.
"During the recent benign prostate enlargement procedure performed by the King at the hospital, there was a separate issue that raised concern. Further diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer, stated the Palace."
"The Honorable has today started the routine care schedule, and during this time, he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-related duties," stated the statement.
Many assume that King Charles has prostate cancer, but according to CNN sources, the cancer suffered by Prince Harry and Prince William's father is not prostate cancer. This condition prevents King Charles from carrying out royal duties as usual. "His Majesty today begins a routine treatment schedule, and during that time he has been advised by doctors to postpone public-related tasks," said the palace, Monday, February 5, 2024.
"Previously, King Charles spent three nights in a private hospital near Regent's Park to undergo a medical procedure. After it was discovered that there were cancer cells, the palace medical team immediately provided treatment."
"The King expressed gratitude to the medical team for their prompt intervention," said a statement from Buckingham Palace. The steps taken by the United Kingdom to announce King Charles' cancer illness can be considered quite surprising. This was apparently done to avoid speculation about the King's absence in many important events."
"The Honorable has chosen to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and with the hope of helping the public's understanding for everyone around the world affected by cancer," wrote the statement from the Kingdom.
"Raja Charles was officially crowned as the King of England on May 6, 2023, replacing his mother, Queen Elizabeth, who passed away in September 2022. "
