Dream - Bersholawat is one of the practices commanded by Allah SWT to the Muslim community. It is mentioned in Surah Al-Ahzab verse 56 which means: "Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace." Sholawat itself can be recited by Dream's friends at any time. However, there is a very special moment to recite it, namely on Fridays.
As known, Friday is a noble day for Muslims. So, do not waste that opportunity to increase righteous deeds, one of which is by reciting blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad.
The following is the translation of the given 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any HTML tags: "The following are the virtues of reading sholawat on Friday and its readings as summarized by Dream through various sources."
One of the hadiths related to reciting blessings on Friday is the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah stating that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Increase your reading of blessings upon me on illuminated nights and shimmering days, for indeed your blessings will be conveyed to me." The best time to practice sholawat on Friday is when you are in congregation, between sunset and before the time of Friday prayer. The recommendation to increase sholawat on Friday is also supported by another hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:"
"Increase your reading of blessings upon me every Friday. Whoever reads the most blessings upon me, then he is the closest to me in position." Thus, increasing blessings on Friday is highly recommended in Islam, because this practice has a special position in the sight of Allah SWT and provides blessings in the hereafter."
Reading sholawat on Friday, especially during the month of Rajab, has extraordinary virtues.
Rasulullah saw said, "Indeed, among the most important days for you is Friday. On that day, Adam was created and died, and on that day the trumpet will be blown and all creatures will die." Buya Yahya also stated that reciting blessings on Friday during the month of Rajab has its own special significance. This is a highly recommended practice, as on Friday, righteous deeds are multiplied in reward.
We as Muslims are encouraged to increase righteous deeds, including reading blessings on Fridays, especially in the month of Rajab. In addition, by reading blessings, we can also receive multiplied rewards and draw closer to Allah SWT. Therefore, let us make use of Fridays, especially in this month of Rajab, to increase righteous deeds, one of which is by reading blessings. May our deeds be accepted by Allah SWT.
Increase reading sholawat on Friday has great benefits for Muslims.
This is supported by the hadith narrated by Imam Baihaqi, which explains several benefits of this practice. First, we will receive more blessings of salutations than on regular days. Second, by increasing salutations, we will be closer to the Prophet Muhammad. Third, this practice can also bring forgiveness from Allah SWT. Additionally, the rewards we receive from increasing salutations on Fridays are greater than on other days.
Finally, by diligently increasing the reading of sholawat on Fridays, we also have the opportunity to receive intercession on the Day of Judgment. By knowing the great benefits of increasing the reading of sholawat on Fridays, let us increase this practice as a form of love and respect for Prophet Muhammad. Hopefully, with this sincere practice, we can obtain blessings in this world and the hereafter, and receive intercession on the Day of Judgment in the future.
The following is a few readings of the Prophet's blessings that are recommended to be practiced on Fridays:
Allahumma shalli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aali Muhammad kamaa shallaita alaa Ibrahim wa 'ala aali Ibrahim innaka hamiiddum majiid. Allahumma barik 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala aali Muhammad kamaa barak taalaa ali Ibrahim wa 'ala aali Ibrahim innaka hamiidum majidd. Translation: "O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, bestow blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed blessings upon the family of Ibrahim. Surely, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious."
Translated text: "Meaning: 'O Allah, bestow mercy upon Prophet Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You bestowed mercy upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are praiseworthy and glorious. O Allah, grant blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You granted blessings upon Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are praiseworthy and glorious.'"
"O Allah, send complete and perfect blessings and peace upon our master Muhammad, through whom difficulties are removed, problems are solved, needs are fulfilled, desires are obtained, good outcomes are achieved, and rain is sought by his noble face, and upon his family and companions, in every moment and breath, for all eternity known to You."
Meaning: "O Allah, bestow upon our master, Prophet Muhammad, perfect mercy and salvation, who can release from various troubles/burdens, eliminate some difficulties, fulfill some needs, have a good ending, and pour out blessings because of the noble face at every moment and breath as much as You know, with Your mercy, the Most Compassionate."
"O Allah, bestow mercy upon the light of all lights, the secret of all secrets, the remedy for sorrows and confusions, the opener of the door of ease,"
That is our beloved, Prophet Muhammad. The chosen one, his holy family, and his noble companions, as numerous as the blessings of Allah and His grace.
