Dream - Rajab is one of the very good months in Islam. In fact, the glory of the month of Rajab is explained in many hadiths. So it is not surprising that many Muslims take advantage of the month of Rajab by performing many good deeds. Where these good deeds are able to bring many rewards. One of the deeds that you can do in the month of Rajab is fasting. Although fasting in Rajab is considered sunnah, but if done, there are great virtues that you can obtain.

One of the hadiths narrated by Ibn Abbas states that Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said: "The month of Rajab is the month of Allah, the month of Sha'ban is my month, and the month of Ramadan is the month of my ummah (community). Whoever fasts a lot in the month of Rajab, will receive great rewards." This hadith emphasizes the importance and benefits of fasting in the month of Rajab.

Other hadiths narrated by Abu Hurairah warn against considering the month of Rajab as forbidden, but encourage increasing worship during this sacred time. Fasting in Rajab does not have explicit evidence mentioned in the Qur'an. However, in the hadiths narrated by Imam Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet Muhammad SAW once said: "Fasting one day in the month of Rajab is like fasting for a whole year."

Ulama agree that fasting in Rajab is considered a highly recommended sunnah (recommended act) and can be done throughout the month of Rajab or part of it. However, there are differences of opinion regarding the virtue of fasting in Rajab. Some scholars believe that fasting in Rajab has a high virtue because this month is considered noble and respected in Islam. Meanwhile, other scholars emphasize that fasting in Rajab does not have any special virtue compared to other months.

"However, fasting in the month of Rajab is still recommended to be performed as a form of worship and to increase rewards in the eyes of Allah SWT. Most scholars agree that the ruling on fasting in Rajab is permissible, meaning it is allowed to be done and allowed to be abandoned. This is because there is no clear evidence stating the obligation to fast in the month of Rajab."

Increasing Faith and Piety: Strengthening faith and piety, abstaining from sinful deeds, and enhancing spiritual awareness.

Respecting the Sacred Months: Elevating religious values during the sacred months, including Rajab. Although Rajab is not one of the sacred months, there is a recommendation to increase worship practices during these months. It is important to remember that these practices should be done sincerely and with pure intentions.
