This condition eventually hinders their focus on matters of the afterlife. Meanwhile, if we remember that the duty of a believing creature is to worship Allah SWT. In addition, the world and everything in it are part of Allah SWT's creation.

In Bahasa, "hubbud dunya" originates from the Arabic language, consisting of two words: "Hubb" which means love or affection, and "Dunya" which means world or worldly life. Overall, "hubbud dunya" refers to excessive love or affection towards worldly life, material possessions, worldly pleasures, or temporary things in this world.

In the context of religion, hubbud dunya is often considered as a negative attitude because it can hinder someone from achieving spiritual goals or true happiness. In terms of terminology, "hubbud dunya" refers to excessive love for the world and worldly possessions. Thus, it hinders someone from focusing on the afterlife and spiritual achievement.

According to religious teachings, excessive love for the world can hinder someone from developing a proper relationship with Allah and preparing themselves for life after death. Therefore, Muslims are often taught to maintain a balance between worldly life and the hereafter, and not to be too attached to temporary material pleasures. It is also important to always be grateful for what one has and prioritize the hereafter in life.

Factors that can cause someone to fall into this disease of the heart include uncontrolled desire for luxury, excessive competition, and the desire to accumulate wealth without limits. Examples of these factors are someone who always wants a car or a house that is more luxurious than their neighbors', someone who is obsessed with luxury and always feels lacking in their life.

Although one may already possess a lot of wealth or someone who constantly strives to accumulate money without considering whether it is halal (permissible) or not. By realizing these factors, one can avoid falling into this sickness of the heart by limiting worldly desires, treating possessions in a good manner, and appreciating what is already owned. By doing so, one can achieve peace in life and avoid attachment to the material world.

People who suffer from this disease tend to be reluctant to admit mistakes or truths that do not align with their desires. They feel ashamed and unwilling to accept realities that do not align with their personal views or desires. The attitude of people who suffer from the disease of worldly love in facing the truth is by closing themselves off, defending their views or opinions, and refusing to accept the truth presented to them.

The implication of this attitude in everyday life is the occurrence of an inability to grow and learn from mistakes, unresolved personal conflicts, and difficulties in building healthy relationships with others. Thus, individuals who suffer from the disease of worldly attachment, especially those who feel ashamed to admit the truth, will experience difficulties in self-improvement, accepting input or criticism, and establishing good relationships with others.

According to the verses of the Al-Quran. The Al-Quran explains that the world is only temporary, and excessive love for the world can divert humans from their true purpose, which is to seek the pleasure of Allah and prepare themselves for the afterlife. Excessive love for the world can affect a person's faith by making them forget their religious obligations such as prayer, fasting, and doing good to others.

This can also affect a person's character by making them greedy, jealous, and neglectful of others' well-being. The Quran reminds humans not to be too attached to the world because life in this world is only temporary, while the afterlife is eternal. The tendency to love the world too much can make humans forget about preparing for the afterlife, which should be the top priority in this life.

"In this way, the Quran reminds humans to balance their love for the world with their love for the hereafter. So that they can live their lives with faith and good morals, and strive to seek Allah's pleasure in all aspects of their lives."

Fourth, love for the world can trigger amoral and immoral behavior in the pursuit of success and happiness, sacrificing religious values.

Fifth, love for the world becomes the source of mistakes and religious damage when humans use immoral ways to achieve worldly goals, such as corruption, fraud, and violence. And sixth, love for the world can damage social relationships, resulting in disputes and conflicts between individuals and communities. A Muslim is allowed to use worldly matters when they use wealth and worldly pleasures in accordance with religious guidance, with a sense of responsibility and sincerity.

This is done so that the wealth and enjoyment become a source of goodness and benefit for oneself and others, and not neglecting religious obligations. Therefore, a Muslim must use worldly matters with full awareness of their responsibility as a servant of Allah.
