To achieve the aforementioned growth target, the Ganjar-Mahfud MD pair will enhance the role of cooperatives and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), support new businesses throughout Indonesia, and utilize infrastructure. Other sources of growth will be driven by the digital economy, green-blue economic management, and the national manufacturing industry, which is expected to grow at around 7.5-8 percent. Despite being confident in the economic programs they propose, Ronny P Sasmita, an Economic Observer from the Indonesia Strategic and Economics Action Institution, believes that realizing this vision will be difficult.

Ronny assesses that Indonesia has been relying on government investment and spending to boost national economic growth. However, according to him, government investment and spending, referring to the performance of the past two years, have not significantly impacted economic growth. These two instruments of economic growth play a bigger role in supporting the economy from falling further. "Government investment and spending can only hold back a drastic decline in growth, not boost it," said Ronny.

According to a report released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in February 2023, the average salary of Indonesian workers was Rp2,944,541 per month. This figure increased slightly from the same period in the previous year, which was Rp2,892,537 per month.
