Dream - Israel is one of the countries with the strongest military in the world. According to an independent global security think tank, Israel ranks 10th as an international arms exporter in the period 2017-2022.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, which measures arms trade from 2017 to 2021, stated that arms trade to Europe has surged, with Gulf countries becoming the primary importers, while Israel remains a key player.
According to Times of Israel, this country in conflict with Palestine contributed 2.4 percent of international weapon exports during that period, with main recipients being India, Azerbaijan, and Vietnam. Israel's export volume decreased by 5.6 percent during that period compared to the previous five years.
The only other Middle Eastern country that is included in the top 25 arms exporters is Turkey in 12th place, United Arab Emirates in 18th place, and Jordan in 25th place. The top five leading countries that dominate global arms trade contribute 77 percent of all exports. These countries are the United States (39 percent), Russia (19 percent), followed by France, China, and Germany.
Other countries that are included in the top 10 exporters are Italy, England, South Korea, and Spain. Between 2018 and 2022, at least 35 countries imported weapons from Israel with a total value of US$3.2 billion, according to SIPRI data.
From that amount, about a third of it (US$1.2 billion), Israel's military exports are aimed at India. The relationship between Israel and India has developed since Indian Prime Minister Narendra came to power in 2014.
According to Aljazeera, the second largest buyer of Israeli weapons is Azerbaijan (US$295 million), followed by the Philippines (US$275 million), the United States (US$217 million), and Vietnam (US$180 million).
