"Dream - The government will distribute a number of Social Assistance (bansos) to underprivileged communities in August 2024. The form of the distributed bansos can be in the form of money and food. The bansos distributed by the government are expected to be useful for the living needs of the community. This program is also encouraged to optimize the increase in consumption and purchasing power of the community to be maintained."
"The community that is declared eligible to receive the social assistance (Bansos) is those who are registered in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS). Here is the list of social assistance that will be distributed in August 2024:"
"1. Social Assistance Program for Hopeful Families (PKH)"
According to Merdeka.com, PKH is aimed at low-income communities. The amount of PKH social assistance received varies, namely for pregnant/nursing mothers, it is Rp750 thousand per stage, or Rp3 million per year. Another form of social assistance is for children aged 0 to 6 years, which is Rp750 thousand per stage, or Rp3 million per year. Then, social assistance for elementary school children or equivalent is Rp225,000 per stage or Rp900,000 per year, and social assistance for junior high school children or equivalent is Rp375,000 per stage/Rp1.5 million per year.
"Next, social assistance for high school/equivalent education is Rp500,000 per stage or Rp2 million per year. Social assistance for severe disabilities is Rp600,000 per stage/Rp2.4 million per year and social assistance for the elderly is Rp600,000 per stage or Rp2.4 million per year."
"2. Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT)"
Social assistance in the form of the BPNT program received by families with 25 percent low economic conditions is entitled to receive Rp200,000 per month, which is given every 2 months.
"3. Rice 10 Kg"
The recipients of the rice social assistance amounting to 10 Kg are those who are recorded in the data of the acceleration program for the elimination of extreme poverty (P3KE).
"It should be noted that the social assistance in the form of 10 Kg of rice was only until June 2024, but according to the directive from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), he requested to extend the duration of the social assistance until December 2024."
Basic Needs Fulfillment (PKD) PKD social assistance is being distributed by the social service (Dinsos) of DKI Jakarta, which is reported to be disbursed in August 2024. The amount of PKD assistance is Rp300,000 per month.
