"Dream - Starting January 1, 2024, the purchase of subsidized 3 kg LPG must use an ID card for registered consumers. PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to adhering to the regulations. The Director of Logistics & Infrastructure of PT Pertamina (Persero) stated that Pertamina will impose strict sanctions, including the closure of businesses, for distributors selling 3 kg LPG not in accordance with the regulations or without an ID card."
The translation of "Sanksi Tutup Pangkalan" to English is "Sanction to Close the Base."
"If he sells without a NIK, it will be easy for us to detect it. Of course, there will be firm action from Pertamina through agents against the bases that commit those violations. We will definitely close them," said the quote from Liputan6.com, Thursday, January 4, 2023."
The sale of 3 kg LPG according to regulations does not only apply to consumers. Alfian said that subsidized gas transactions at official bases will also be tracked through the system.
"This is a digital system and the tracing is easy. As soon as there is a base that does not follow the steps we have instructed, it is immediately detected,"
The translation of "tegas Alfian." to English is "firm Alfian."
The President Director of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Riva Siahaan added that the base is also required to collect data on consumers who purchase 3 kg LPG gas, in order to avoid any mixing. "So that when there is a purchase made by parties who will later sell it again, we can actually record it," said Riva.
"So as far as the sales are conducted at the forefront and using the application for data collection, of course, that is part of the supervision," he concluded."
"Meanwhile, PT Pertamina Patra Niaga admitted that it still needs up to a maximum of 1 year to verify the total consumers who are truly entitled to purchase 3 kg LPG. According to data from the Acceleration of Extreme Poverty Elimination (P3KE), there are approximately 189 million population identification numbers (NIK) or ID cards from the household segment that are entitled to purchase 3 kg LPG."
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) reported that out of a total of 189 million ID cards included in the P3KE data, the number of transactions for purchasing melon gas cylinders registered in the system is around 31.5 million NIK, with 7.1 million NIK on demand or not yet registered.
The Director of Downstream Oil and Gas Business Development at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mustika Pertiwi, added that the government, together with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, is currently still verifying the data of 7.1 million NIK to see if they are indeed eligible consumers or not. "The fact is, as of today, there are around 31.5 million NIK that have just registered. Meanwhile, out of the 31.5 million NIK, only 24.4 million NIK are included in the 189 million NIK. The 7.1 million NIK are those outside of the 189 million NIK," she revealed.
