Dream - Business exams don't just come from sales and the ins and outs behind production, but can also arise from dishonest and detrimental employees. Like experienced by a businessman named Ristiana Eteng, the owner of Legato Gelato, who shared the experience of having an dishonest employee. She said that her cashier had stolen 45 million Indonesian Rupiah. Through her Instagram post @ristianaeteng, her story began when her gelato's income significantly decreased over the past three months in one of her stores.
"ungkap Ristiana Eteng." translates to "revealed Ristiana Eteng."
"To investigate why her income is decreasing, Ristiana ordered someone to become a customer. The fake customer was served by a cashier named Aulia."
The strangeness of the declining income is explained by the factors. The cashier, who is only 19 years old, turns out to have taken the money from the sales and falsified QRIS payments with his own QR code.
"ungkapnya" translates to "he/she said" in English.
Interesting, Aulia admitted her actions. She even explained without a trace of regret on her face. She calculated that the money she had taken had reached Rp45 million in three months. Every day, she would take Rp500,000.
"he said he admitted."
Ristiana expressed her disappointment with her employee's inappropriate actions. She believed that the employee was very bold to perform such actions, especially considering that there was also CCTV in the cashier area. "Honestly, I am extremely disappointed with this incident, disappointed with the employee and disappointed with myself as well. Sometimes, it's not that we don't trust our employees, but incidents like this make us have to be cautious and suspicious of all employees (including the honest ones)," she wrote.
Ristiana also converted all payments into digital, without any cash or physical money. "For this reason, starting ASAP we will eliminate all payments using cash. We will only receive digital payment," she said.
The action of embezzling money from this store has gone viral and caught the attention of netizens. Many netizens feel angry with the cashier's actions. "Report it to the police, Teng. Because the person seems unremorseful. By the way, isn't personal QR code no longer available?" wrote the account @lfc23. "Such a calm face. Let people like this understand," wrote the account @kevinhartanto. "Instead of being mistaken for marketing, prosecute the employee so that incidents like this don't happen again," wrote the account @moonshinepoo. "Don't fire the employee immediately. Let the legal process take place to serve as a deterrent," tisaputri wrote.
She often shows off various branded items that she wears, such as shoes, bags, jewelry, and cars.
