Dream - Chery has launched its latest electric car, the crossover eQ7, which has entered the local market. Interestingly, this Chinese car manufacturer has conducted an irresistible promotion.
According to Oddity Central, Chery is promoting its durability by building a car tower to showcase the longevity of its aluminum body. Electric vehicle production in China is currently rapidly increasing, and manufacturers are employing various marketing strategies to win the competition.
"Examples include Chery with eQ7, this car is claimed to have a good balance of quality and price. eQ7 also has an attractive design, with a range of 412-512 km on a full battery charge."
However, amidst the many competitors, in order to make its latest electric car stand out, Chery has decided to focus on the strength of its aluminum LFS body. This strength is demonstrated by creating a tower consisting of no less than seven eQ7s.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, to achieve maximum safety rating, a vehicle must be able to withstand 4 times its own weight.
However, Chery believes that four cars are not enough, so they stacked seven eQ7 vehicles together with a special metal platform placed between the vehicles to secure them.
This means that the vehicles at the bottom have supported the weight of six other eQ7s placed on top of them. Automotive industry experts quickly realized that this action was not entirely original. European company Volvo, ironically owned by Chinese car manufacturer Geely, has been using the same marketing strategy since the 1980s. The latest was done in 2021 when seven XC60 crossovers were stacked on top of each other.
Apart from China, recently Hyundai Motors Indonesia also showcased its latest electric car collection, the IONIQ 6, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2023 in Surabaya. The electric car IONIQ 6 is an upgrade from the electric car IONIQ 5, which was released in 2022. The IONIQ 5 car has previously won the award for The Winner of the 2023 World Car of The Year. Now, there is an improvement to further enhance its reputation with the launch of IONIQ 6.
The advanced electric car is priced at Rp1,217,500,000 (Rp1.2 billion). However, for certain colors, there is a slight price difference. IONIQ 6 is available in various exterior colors, namely Abyss Black Pearl, Serenity White Pearl, Gravity Gold Matte, Nocturne Grey Matte, and Biophilic Blue Pearl.
