Father of Wayan Mirna Salihin who is also a speaker in the Netflix film Ice Cold: Murder, Coffee, and Jessica Wongso has undergone a major transformation in his career and life. In his confession, Edi was once known as a businessman who managed a large team with a total of 6000 employees. But now he has switched professions to become a farmer. Since the passing of his daughter, Edi Darmawan Salihin spends his time in the countryside, in a mountainous area in Bogor, specifically in Pamijahan Cemplang, to cultivate chili peppers.

In several harvests, his effort has generated quite a decent profit to meet his living needs. In addition to growing chili peppers, Ayah Wayan Mirna Salihin is also involved in the cassava collection business from Lampung in Sumatra, which is adjacent to Pelabuhan Merak. From the collection of cassava, Edi sends the agricultural products to one of his colleagues who has a market network in Merak. The cassava is then exported to supply the needs of customers in Korea.
