Dream - Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, explained that the salary received by civil servants (PNS) in 2024 will be based on a new salary system. PNS will receive a single salary and will no longer receive separate allowance payments.
Suharso said during the Working Meeting with the DPR, quoted from Liputan6.com, Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
The following is the translation of the 'Bahasa' text to 'English' while preserving any HTML tags: Single salary referred to is civil servants will only receive one type of income which is a combination of various income components. The implemented single salary system consists of position (salary) and allowances (performance and hardship).
As for the inherent allowances that civil servants have been receiving, they include general allowance, position allowance, meal allowance, child allowance, and spouse allowance.
In the future, the PNS salary system will implement a grading system. Grading is the level or rank of job value\/price that indicates position, workload, responsibility, and job risk.
Every grading will be divided into several steps with different rupiah values.
With that, there is a possibility that civil servants who have the same position can receive different salaries depending on the assessment of job value seen from the workload, responsibilities, and job risks.
"Previously, in the 2024 State Budget (RAPBN), the salaries of central and regional civil servants/Armed Forces/Police increased by 8 percent, while the pensions increased by 12 percent. This was revealed by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during his speech on the Draft State Budget for Fiscal Year 2024 and Financial Note at the Plenary Session of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR)/People's Representative Council (DPR) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, in Jakarta."
Jokowi said that the implementation of the transformation should run effectively so that bureaucratic reform must be continuously strengthened. Through bureaucratic reform, it is expected to realize a central and regional bureaucracy that is efficient, competent, professional, and has integrity.
